PowerFTP로 유명한 Cooolsoft사의 Power MP3 WMA Converter 입니다.

프로그램명이 Power MP3 WMA Converter 라서

단지 MP3를 WMA로 컨버팅하는 기능만 있는 것이 아닙니다.

지원되는 포맷 (mp3, ogg, wma, ape, wav) 등의 오디오 파일을

상호 컨버팅(변환)할 수 있으며, 그 과정에서 비트레이트를 조절함으로

오디오 파일의 용량을 줄이고 용량을 줄인 오디오 파일은

mp3플레이어나 mp3재생을 지원하는 휴대폰에 넣을 때 용량의 부담을 덜 수 있습니다.

뿐만아니라 대부분 2MB로 업로드 용량이 제한된 블로그나 카페등의 자료실에

음악 파일을 올릴 때도 유용합니다.

또한 시디 립핑 기능으로 원본 시디에서 (mp3, ogg, wma, ape, wav) 등의

포맷으로 오디오 파일을 추출할 수 있으며 태그 일괄 편집 기능도 지원하지만

전문 태그 편집툴에 비해 기능이 다소 열악하더군요.

특이할 만한 점은 2006버전 부터 시디 버닝 기능을 지원하는데 이 역시

전문 버닝 툴에 비해 다소 기능이 떨어집니다.

컨버팅 방법은

프로그램 실행후 File -> Add File 또는 Search Dir 에서 파일 또는 디렉토리를 추가한 뒤

컨버팅할 포맷과 비트레이트를 설정하고 컨버팅 버튼을 클릭하면 됩니다.

인코딩 옵션의 세부 설정은 Configuration 탭에서 할 수 있지만

기본 설정으로 놓고 쓰셔도 무방합니다.

비트레이트를 낮추는 과정에서 음질의 손실은 불가피하지만

시디음질과 mp3음질을 얼핏듣고 구별할 수 있는 귀가 아니라면

128kbps에서 32kbps로 극단적으로 다운 레이팅했더라도 쉽게

귀에 거슬리거나 하진 않을겁니다.

별도의 인스톨 과정없이 압축푼 후 PowerConverter.exe를 실행하시면 됩니다.

그림은 128kbps의 파일을 32kbps로 인코딩했을때의 용량 변화이니 참고하십시오.

약4.7mb에서 1.18mb로 줄었음을 확인할 수 있습니다.

미천한 영어실력으로 한글화를 해봤습니다. 100% 한글화는 아니지만

비트레이트 조절, 컨버팅, 시디 립핑, 버닝등의 기능을 사용하기에 큰 무리는

없으며 다소 오역이 있을 수 있습니다.

이전 버전과 다른점은 시디 버닝 기능 추가와 자잘한 버그가 수정된 것 같습니다.
